It doesn't matter how sophisticated a menu structure is, sometimes, a quick search is faster.

When the user opens the raptor menu, the keyboard focus will be directly in the search bar. Thus, the user can start entering letters, e.g. "ko".

While the user is typing, the applications are filtered and displayed in the menu, ordered by their importance as saved in the usage database. The search string would e.g. return the results "kopete", "kontact", "konqueror", "konversation" and display these elements without the user having to hit enter.

The search will also compare the search string to the application description, so that music will e.g. return "amarok" and other applications containing music in their description.
